Inside a Bond-style Mallorcan home for the Financial Times

I'm so happy to share another commission for the Financial Times — this time for the House & Home section, photographing the wonderful Tille and Oro del Negro at their home in Deià, Mallorca.

Tucked high into the Tramuntana mountains, the house is unlike anywhere I've photographed before: a 1970s build carved straight into the cliffside, with sweeping sea views, sections of raw rock face running through the interiors, and an elevator that threads up through the stone (yes, really — very Bond). Tille and Oro, the duo behind MoreDesign and Tille's newly launched Del Negro Studio, have spent the last decade reshaping it into a barefoot, tactile family home filled with handmade pieces by local Mallorcan craftspeople.

I had the joy of working alongside writer Daisy Dawnay to capture the textures of this place — the tadelakt floors, the hand-spun antique hemp sofas, the triangular limestone sink, the pendant lamp by one of the island's last remaining glass blowers, and the wild, scrubby landscape that pours in through every window.

You can read Daisy's full piece in the FT here, and see more of my recent editorial work over on the portfolio.

Thank you to the FT, to Daisy, and to Tille and Oro for opening their home.
