Villa Mallorquina - Private Villa Inspiration Session In Mallorca
This beautiful inspiration shoot from Mallorca was recently featured in printed in the most stunning film only magazine called Belle Lumière. Lisa and I had been planning to shoot together for a year. We are always traveling and on the go so it was quite a challenge to find a place that would work for both of us. The day I got an email from Lisa saying she has found the most amazing villa in Mallorca, I simply packed my bags and hopped on the plane with Diva Borrelli, my uber talented hair & makeup stylist friend!
The location was stunning. Sun roasted mountain tops, lavender bushes, crystal clear seawater pool, beautiful house grounds made of pebbles and Mallorquin sand stone walls. It was simply picture perfect. The wonderful scent of rosemary and lavender filled the entire villa and instantly made everyone feel relaxed, calm and focused.
When Isabelle, the model, arrived at the villa we got insanely inspired by her crazy long hair.
Diva decided to keep it as natural as possible, and we focused on enhancing the real beauty of Isabelle rather than changing it.
Diva brought her vintage one piece swimsuit from Ibiza and we've decided to start shooting by the pool. We listened to Frank Sinatra and asked Isabelle to simply focus on being in the moment, in this stunning private villa, to feel the stones, the music, feel the sun.
We worked only with what we found on the location, so everything came together very effortlessly. It was simply magical. Very still, feminine and subtle.
I wish I could work and create in an environment like this everyday of my life. 4 girls simply being and doing what they love in a stunning place in Mallorca.
I think we all connected and felt surrounded by beauty.
It instantly reminded me of a book by Alain De Botton who wrote:
“A feeling of beauty is a sign that we have come upon a material articulation of certain of our ideas of a good life.”
( The Architecture Of Happiness)
Now the only thing left is to chase that feeling over and over again...
